Gargoyles presents:
The Mysterious Garden
Wander with us for a beautiful escape into the Mysterious Garden, a macabre, primordial & splendiferous showing of wild nature and its surprises.
We will be featuring enchanted works by Lis Wright Ivec, (shown above), Laura Cameron, Ruth Ann, Laurel Temple, Keith Waters, Michael Croteau, Autumn Kegley and more…Come by Friday, November 15th 5-7:30pm and sip some tea and get lost with us in the mysterious garden & stay tuned for a video of the show on the night of the opening!Show runs through December 18th as we prepare for the winter Solstice with our annual “Dark Winter’s Night” show that opens on Dec. 20th.

Enter the Haunted Realm…A spooky celebration of the macabre and the season of darkness in anticipation of Halloween & Samhain…We will be honoring the prolific and ever so talented Mike Mullins at this show who we sadly lost this fall. We will be showing some of his beautiful work along with dark designs by Craig Luckenbach, Fish Jones, Lis Wright Ivec, Braden Duncan, Michael Croteau, Laurel Temple, Ruth Ann of Barnacles & Moss and more!!!Please join us for cider & mini donuts and some diabolical delights!!!Show opens on Friday, October 18th 5-7+ pm and runs thru November 14th*image shown is by Lis Wright Ivec, “Hekate ~Queen of the Witches”.We are part of the U District Art Walk ~check out www.udistrictartwalk.org for more venues & events each month including the Walk, every third Friday of the month..

Mushroom Magic
Join us as we welcome Autumn with a celebration of fabulous fungi!!! We are so excited to show works by Braden Duncan, Mary Goo, Megan Wyreweden, Lis Wright Ivec, Fish Jones, Barnacles & Moss, Cadmium Tower, Kat McLean & Michael Croteau as they explore the mysterious, enigmatic & beautiful world of Mushroom Magic!!!
Opening reception will be Friday, September 20th from 5pm-7pm as part of the U District Art Walk along with our neighbors at Inner Visions. Show runs through October 17th.
Originals, prints and more will be available. Lets follow the mycelium and see where it takes us…

Fancy Feline Familiars
Join us for mad cat adventures at “Fancy Feline Familiars” with Braden Duncan!!! We will be featuring brand new Cryptid Kittens, Fatal Fungi Kittens, Poison Pusses & Teacup Kittens with framed originals, prints & cards available. All originals will be up on our website on the day of the opening.
We will be doing a U District Art Walk opening on August 16th 5-7pm and a follow-up Artist Reception on August 23rd from 5-8pm with Braden in attendance~ stop by and meet her, she’s amazing!!! We will have light snacks and iced tea to go with the TeaCup kitties.

Relics
Please join us as we welcome Portland Artist Liv Rainey Smith presenting new Woodcut prints and reliquaries. Liv will be in house for this showing to answer questions and talk about her phenomenal process of woodblock printing. There will be many limited edition prints available as well as hand made reliquaries by Liv that complement the works.Show opens July 19th and will run through August 15th. Artist’s reception with Liv 5-8pm July 19th.Works will be available on our website and a video of the show will air on opening night.Hope to see you!!!

Goddess: An Ode to the Divine Feminine
Join us as Summer hits full bloom for our annual Goddess Show! We are so pleased to honor the beauty, magick & mystery of the Divine Feminine through artist’s interpretations of goddesses from around the world. Original works by Lis Wright Ivec, Ada Everman, Laura Cameron, Annie Rosenberg (Blackhaus Art), Gentian Osman, Michael Croteau & Lisa Noble will be featured.We will have an artist’s reception from 5-7 on June 21~ also a full moon & a video after the show on both Facebook & IG. Show runs thru July 17th.We have lots of Litha (Summer Solstice) incense made by our own Sea Witch Botanicals & Wild Woman candles by Arcane Arts~celebrate the season!!!

DRAGON’S DELIGHT
Please join us for Dragon’s Delight our ode to the enigmatic & magical beasties of legend and lore. Given that it is the year of the Dragon & on the eve of the 53rd Annual U District Street Fair it deemed itself appropriate to gather some of our very favorite artists to celebrate these magnificent creatures.
We will be showing original art by Megan Wyreweden (” Smaug” shown above)*, Braden Duncan, Jess Kavanaugh, Stasia Burrington, Laura Cameron, Julia Y, Lis Wright Ivec, Sam Hamrick, Gentian Osman, Oliver Hyde, Kat McLean, Kayla Townsend, Keith Waters & more!!! Strange sightings abound! Join us to explore these mysterious phenomenons with new art by Jessica Geiger, Denny Sargent & Keith Amarak Waters. We are so excited to present Monster Blossom~our annual celebration of the magic of spring, and the beautiful explosion of the Sakura blossoms all around us in the PNW. This month’s collection will feature art by local artists Braden Duncan, Lis Wright Ivec, Ada Everman, Fish Jones, Kat McLean, Autumn Kegley, Julia Y, Mary Goo, Jessica Geiger & more!!! Come see the cherry blossoms and the creatures that love them!!!

We are honored also to be part of the U District Cherry Blossom Festival that begins March 16th. There will be events and specials all over the Ave running thru April 1st & the cherry trees will be in glorious full bloom!!!

Our Annual Mad Love Show quickly approaches! Please join us this Friday, February 16th, for some heartfelt fun with art by Braden Duncan (who’s “Hibiscus with Hearts” is shown above), Lis Wright Ivec, Michael Croteau, Laura Cameron and some older works by Oliver Jo Hyde(formerly Jo Estey), & more!!! Artist’s reception will be from 5-7pm with a video of the showing that evening & show runs thru March 14th.
