I’ve always been haunted by the scene in Frankenstein (1931) with the Monster and the girl at the lake. It is one of the most sad, sweet, poignant, shocking, and beautiful scenes in horror. What better setting to place the lamentful, reflective monster than lakeside, amongst the fallen cherry blossoms of a fragile spring for the group art show ‘Monster Blossoms’.
